Here in Belgium, some people are pretty sick of the hyhpe that's been
created about the whole dj stuff, so they're organising 'Hang the
dj'-parties, with musicians who haven't got much experience, but who will
prove that anyone with a turntable and a good musical taste can play
records.
btw: Yes, playing piano is also a rearrangement of existing stuff, but
there's a big difference between arranging separate notes and complete
records. Not everything that has something to do with creation is art. (We
had this kind of discussion on the e-music list, and I had enough of it, so
this is the last thing I say about it.)
