I don't care how commercial this CD is, but I love the new Chemical
Brothers "Digging Your Own Hole". "Elektrobank" is worth the price of the CD
alone with a furious beat, "it doesn't matter" plods MBM'ish territory, and
"the private psychedelic reel" is just plain weird.
So how many copies have sold in the U.S. so far? It's charting on
the Billboard chart, though I haven't seen the latest issue. A record store
owner claims that Astralwerks is claiming 80,000 units sold in the first
week, while SoundScan scanned about 50,000. Will it crack 200,000?
I am just amused to see this on full display in Tower, Media Play,
The Wiz, and Coconuts. Have we reached the saturation point?
