Oh yes, Beaumont did release two versions of Texturology. One being
limited.Vinyl only. Totally different tracks than the other. However, at
this point I'm pretty sure it's long gone. Both came out on GPR (who seemed
to disappear for a while, then put out Pil or something like that, and
disappeard again.) I find these both excellent showcases of what this man
can do. He and Richard Brown that is. (AWSOME producer/artist/technician.)
Most of Beaumont's material is timeless.Still blowing away 90% of what I
hear coming out today. He's highly underrated in the world of IDM. At least
with the people buying it anyway. I'm just glad to see someone actually
mentioning him.
Most of his releases are limited in quantity. Earlier works are next to
impossible to come across these days. Unless you find someone willing to
give up there copy(ies).Maybe try writing GPR and DEMAND some copies for
yourself. Or write Beaumont personally. I hear he's one of the nicest people
in electronica to deal with. I assume you have Notions of Tonality 1&2? If
not I can supply you with them. Not his best works, but nonetheless, quality
electronica. Look for the Full-legnth album out sometime in the near future.
Good Luck.
