So RDJ is god.
So RDJ isn't god.
Personally, all this pontificating is making me sick.
I like SAW 1, but while I can hear the melody in a lot of his later stuff,
the nastiness of the beats is too much to take.
Now, Alberto Balsam -there's a track and a half.
Can anyone put me onto anymore of RDJ's stuff (or anyone's) which is as
beautiful as this piece?
Ventolin: I can appreciate its unmitigated evil, but that's something I am
just not prepared to go through on a regular basis -even for Alberto
Balsam. What is the frigging point??!!
It occurred to me today that maybe we just shouldn't count on established
names to go on pleasing us, album after album. After all, the first time
you heard Aphex or whoever, you'd never heard him before (Duh), so you had
no expectations of liking it. If you did, great. If not, maybe you had to
wait until you heard the Orb (or whoever), before making your first inroad
into IDM. My point being that fan loyalty seems particularily misplaced in
this market. IDM artists will go on experimenting, and will probably leave
lots of us in the dust. So screw the glow-in-the-dark vinyl, limited
edition, FAXphlex adulation. The best music in the world is probably being
made by soemone we haven't even heard yet.
