Subject: (313) Kenny Larkin reply to"Kenny Larkin for sale"
This is in response to the idiot who called me a sellout because of the
Mayday event I am playing. i intially thought I'd e-mail him but decided
instead to post it here so everyone can read it.
Apparently this chump doesn't know me or what kind of music I play. If he did
know me, he know that I play the same exact style of music at a club with 300
people or 3,000 people. I have been playing parties of various sizes for 3
years now and I don't change what I play regardless of where I spin!!!!!
These people book me to play because they want to hear my angle and my side
of music and that's what I give them and if it's a small club, fine, if it's
a large party, fine. Don't knock me because of that.!!!!!
During the summer of '95, I played live and deejayed at numerous large
festivals in Europe and I loved it, it doesn't mean I sold out!!! I didn't
compromise my live show or my dj set so where's the beef? I played live at
Glastonbury in front of at least 20,000 people with other acts like
Plastikman, and it was great to see all of those people bobbing their heads
to the shit I work so hard to produce. You pointed out the Metro Times
interview where I supposedly said that I don't care about the scene here and
that I'm doing this all for the money and the car, if you believe that then I
have the first 909 drum machine serial#0001 I'd like to sell you for
$100(joke)!!! Everyone who was included in that Metro Times article was
misquoted and misrepresented, hell everything that is written about us by
nearly all the press is twisted up and mangled. The guy who wrote that
article told me that he was "looking for dirt" in the techno scene. He made a
lot of people angry with what he wrote, myself included. I hade friends
calling me wodering why I said those nasty things about the scene and so
forth. So to end this I say to you Harold, chill out. I won't be able to buy
that Porsche 911 turbo with the money I make from this party (sarcasm)
