I have also been wondering what holds the new MBM album. I«ve heard rumours about it for about a year now... Regarding the MBM is/isn«t IDM thing... Maybe they rely more on sampling than the usual IDM artists, but on the other hand, I wouldn«t call them exactly hip-hop, techno, dub or industrial either. I would say that Intelligent Dance Music describes them pretty good...
