Got some stellar music this week. Here's what I got:
- Experimenta (A13) a great comp with hard hitters like Tura (Black
Dog), Stasis, Dave Angel, Mono Junk & Kinesthesia. Outstanding.
- A Is For Apple (Kudos) another great comp with contributions from
Iridal, Ifach, Likemind, and Otherworld to name a few. The roster reads
like a who's who of hot techno labels. Great.
- Chris & Cosey "Twist" remix album (T&B) nine tracks remixed by your
favorite techno artists like Carl Craig, 2 from Mu-Ziq, Vaporspace and
Cosmic Connection (which sounds very Black Doggy). A strong release
with the exception for the Fred Giannelli and Chris & Cosey Mixes.
Highly Recommended.
- Ultramarine "Barefoot EP" (Banco Y Negro) a four tracker with
outstanding mixes by Carl Craig and Richard H. Kirk. A treasure
reclaimed from the used bin.
- Ruby "Paraffin EP pts 1&2" (creation) a groovy trip-hop ep with mixes
by Red Snapper, Wagon Christ, Mark Walk and someone called Richard
Fearless. Very good.
