quoted 2 lines now on to my favorite subject: Boards of Canada.>now on to my favorite subject: Boards of Canada. >Anyone have any ideas on what their "secret weapon" is? gotta be pretty
old, and cheap. >never heard a sound like it Well, I'm sure they have some interesting relics around to help, but I read in some interview with them somewhere that a lot of those really washed out analog sounds are actually acoustic instruments (like flute and piano) sampled and then processed A LOT.
quoted 3 lines SYNTH TALK:>SYNTH TALK: >Does anyone know where I could buy a Roland GR-300 (not the guitar synth.) >I have a JP-8000, and it has a patch that's modeled after the GR-300 solo
patch. But I >want the real synth because that has to be my favorite lead. Does anyone have information >on this synth?? all of the synth museum sites fail to mention anything about it. I used to have a Roland GR-30 (a relatively recent guitar synth they started making about 3 years ago or so) and there was a patch that I believe was called GR-300 or GR-30 lead on there too (more probable GR-300). Anyway, now I have a JP-8000 and the patch you speak of sounds the same as the GR-30 patch, barring the fact that it sounds a LOT better on the JP-8000 than on the GR-30. Hope that helps or something. -Aaron --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
