_9 Deadly Venoms_ was not what I expected. But after giving it a chance, I think that's a good thing. It is less subtle than most recent (genre-label) releases, but that lends it an energy, accurately expressed in terrawatts per second. It's potent stuff. The 'Hubba Hubba Hubba' 12" is considerably closer to the beaten path IMHO, and so if the full-length doesn't sit well with you, give that single a spin. It serves as a kind of musical bridge from the now-familiar BoomBap/DustBros/MoWax thing (which is what I for one was expecting from Depth Charge) to the overboard sound of the full length. Thanks for all the replies to my question about mixers. I am very pleased about the amount and quality of them. Thanks also to Kent for reviewing the new Seefeel! And Kent, regarding you 'obligatory rolling stone/NME blurb', I just wanna say, You and me both, brother. I aspire to be as creative as them Seefeel fellas. True, they wouldn't sound so hot without their reverb and flange, but have you ever noticed how reverb and flange don't sound so hot without quality musical ideas? I am VERY thankful that record labels are willing to distribute music like theirs. (we all have our favorites :) ) Brad
