Why is something not IDM if it has any or all of these 3? Check it out:
Beaumont Hannant: Ormeau (This has vocals)
Polygon Window: If it Really Is Me (This has organs)
Rhythim is Rhythim: Strings of Life (This has strings)
All of these are IDM, unquestionably (I think). Maybe Portishead arent IDM
(they did remix Paul Weller after all) but leave strings, organs and vocals
out of it!
