I have a question regarding the band Suburban Knight. Actually, a couple questions, if anyone knows of them. I read a review of their release this summer called "Nocturbulous Behavior" and it really caught my attention. It was in a small, cool free mag called Anti-Matter. This mag also reviewed "Polygon Window" and "Phaze Two" in the same article. I want to hear this band. What are they like? I know "Noc. Behav." was not their first album. What else have they done? I can't find the mag anymore, either. Is it dead? I believe it was a product of Detroit. -Horsepower

This is on the Ur label, Detroit. UR presents the return of the sub. kn. Its a repetitive flanged track, classic detroit beats, UR style, but not too mental. I like it . B side has wicked beat to it, but the grating sound grates after a time! The classic Sub K. track is 'the art of stalking' on transmat. This is probably to be found on a number of compilations too. There were also remixes done about a year ago , with a colourful cover (by deepside, Fnac? ? anyone have these? any good?) . Im sure he has done a few more 12"s and may be turns up under different names aswell. Chris

The remixes of "art of stalking" were done on FNAC mixed by Ludovic Navarre. The remixes don't sound mutch like the original, which is on it. Check out "The Groove" on Transmat. Very metallic house. Kinda' like old Saunderson stuff. It klanks along a house beat while James Pennington (I presume since he is SK) sings deeply, "House groooove, makes you moooove." I love the old Detroit stuff. -robert
