Tell it, brother!

Aw, man. I was too busy being herded to Bible Camp in those days. I lived in a
town that was about as likely to host Kraftwerk as Kraftwerk was to switch
over to country and western. You City Boys were lucky sonszabitches. What I
wouldn't have given to see Bowie on the "Low" tour, or Kraftwerk on the
"Trans Europe Express" tour. Wow!!!!! You were lucky, that's all there
was to it.

I agree. When I had my 'habit', in the late '70's and early '80's, I was
picking up
used LP's for $2.00 to $3.50 each. Remember, minimum wage was like $3.35/hr
in the U.S. at that time, so I could get my fave band's latest wax, used,
for an
hour's worth of sweat working at a typical teen-age job. Nowadays, you get
$4.50/hr, and the used CD's are nine bucks! It's tough. But then I would have
*killed* for the kinds of Techno compilations that kids today can buy. That is
a relatively recent trend, and a very good one IMHO. So, you've got that
going for you. But still, import CD singles and vinyl doubles (and triples)
are *way* too expensive. I'm sorry, but $45.00 for a double CD comp?? I
think not. $35 for an import double-vinyl LP? Bzzzt. Too damn much.
Finish this phrase:
Old IDM'ers don't die, they just _________.
(Well, Gene, I'll pick Charles Nelson Reilly. No, wait, I mean Kitty Carlisle.)
