Farben is the guise of Berliner Jan Jelinek. He has produced three
outstanding 12"s on the Klank Elektronik label and has a forthcoming
album, under the name Gramm, on the german Source label called
Personal Rock. Farben's sound rests firmly in the light miminal
warm techno & electronica vein topped off with a healthy infusion
of pops, clicks, etc somewhere in the neighborhood of SND, Arovane,
Pole, and Various Artists. There is a new Farben track on the
forthcoming Mille Plateaux Clicks_+_Cuts compilation that is
representative of his sound. I HIGHLY recommend all Farben-
related material if you're into an experimental & light percussive
bc/cr sound.
