oh joy, oh bliss beyond measuring! daum "freaky chakra" bentley came over yesterday with white labels of the new Exist Dance 12"s (the doublepack Tranquility Bass set that Mike Wertheim has mentioned on this list earlier). 4 mixes of Cantamilla (including the original), 2 mixes each of Mya Yadana and They Came In Peace. Most of the Cantamilla mixes have been given a real shuffling groovy tinge with some excellent bass & guitar courtesy of Mike Kandel. He's quite the talented guitarist, actually... I was down at Heaven (their studio) with some friends a while ago and he played us this track with some fantastic mellow guitar soloing on it. One of my friends commented that it sounded like Grateful Dead. Mike said "oops. better wipe this one." I guess he did since I haven't heard it since... :) Jon Drukman jdrukman%dlsun87@oracle.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence.

well, i'll have to say that I'm elated and disappointed at once. Elated because those three songs are excellent and I'd love good remixes of them, especially Mya Yadana which I think has a lot more potential than it has lived up to. Disappointed because I was really looking forward to _new_ Tranquility Bass stuff =(. Someone ask Exist Dance if they plan to have even more singles out any time soon =). I also wouldn't mind seeing a single of "Psychic Dreaming", one of my favourites in their repertoire... ___ (:)====/__/\=(:)(:)============================(:)====================(:) |\| _\_ \ \|\||=| Tai Nguyen |\| email address: |=| |=| /__/\_\ \=||\| Cornell University |=| thn1@cornell.edu |\| |\| / /\ __/\|(:)============================(:)====================(:) |=|/ / /\ \ |=||=| "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, |=| |\/__/ \_\/ |\||\| and statistics." |\| |=\__\/\ \ |=||=| - Mark Twain |=| (:)==\__\/===(:)(:)===================================================(:)

Worry not. Rumor has it that the new Exist Dance project is going to be a full-length Tranquility Bass album.
