Hey Everyone! :) :)
Yesterday, I bought the new MixMag (with D:ream) and AI volume 1 and Fuse
(Dimension Intrusion). As I sat last night listening to the CD's and
reading the magazine, I was pleased that the movement is still alive. Still
progressing, that was for me one of the most powerful aspects of electronic
music when I first got into it. That it mutates and changes course so
often, every artist has a different perspective and a different style. the
Dice Man (heh heh) said he likes to make music for people with three ears.
It's nice to know that there are people who are LISTENING to the music,
separating it, straining it, and jumping up and down when they hear
something they like immensely. Perhaps since I do not have access to
frequent renegades, or a good record store (except when I can drive down to
Atlanta and Tower, or even expensive musical equipment (well, a guitar) I am
able to sit back in my Laz-E-boy and just mellow out on the scene which I am
able to view from afar. I have such a hunger for new music in this vein
that I can turn up when noone is home, and sit down and drink orange juice.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I am very happy that the "scene"
is continuing to move, even if electronic music's popularity among the
masses has declined. We are not genereation X, we are a transition
generation, mixing technology with humanity, to get a warm fuzzy feeling.
The first generation to accept computers as a part of life, just as
mechanics were in previous generations. :)
Let the infinite movement flow...
Let the infinite movement gooo...
