Please check your eyeglass prescription.
We VJ's have more than mere "stock loop DVDs" at our disposal!
"Playing in the dark" is an interesting novelty, but such a waste of
the human eye,
our most complex sensory organ.
the mind expanding potential of "EYE"DM should not be overlooked.
Consider Plaid, often paired with complimentary video art,
or BOC, connected with educational film projections from the beginning.
How many were introduced to Aphex Twin by Chris Cunninghams'
amazing and disturbing video auteurship? (Come to Daddy,
Windowlicker, etc.)
[Also note his revolutionary videos for the Autechre under discussion.]
Have you seen Meat Beat Manifesto lately? A total A/V experience,
where scratching videos has evolved from scratching vinyl.
