Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 [ K O N T R O L ] minimal techno + avant-house every 1st Saturday @ The Endup NET 28 SHOWCASE ft. from in Madrid, Spain: <<< TADEO >>> ( Cyclical Tracks . CMYK Musik . Apnea . Múpa ) Influenced by seminal techno artists like Plastikman and Jeff Mills, Tadeo's productions fuse the early sound of Detroit with tones of jazz and cutting-edge electronics. His energetic DJ sets are the culmination of years of experimentation and working the crowds at his own basement techno events in Spain. Don't miss what's sure to be a slamming San Francisco debut! and: <<< DAMIÁN SCHWARTZ >>> LIVE! ( Musica Charlista . Múpa . CMYK Musik . Apnea ) With 5 years of production and 3 years of outstanding releases on some of Spain's brightest techno labels to his credit, it's no wonder why this 24-year-old Madrid native is in high demand. From his innovative solo projects to his work as Musica Charlista with labelmate Alex Under, Damián has consistently delivered his signature avant-garde sound to ecstatic dancefloors across the globe. plus special guests: VADIM ( loft.n.space . LESS : NYC) Last heard at the wicked Platform underground earlier this year, NYC's minimal evangelist Vadim returns with another foray into techno's darker corners and heavier rhythms: throbbing, deep space music that will get you lost inside your own head. and: SOLAR ( Bang The Box . Bionic : SF ) Sure, you know Solar from his years with the Sunset crew and from rocking damn near every last party in town over the past decade...but tonight he'll show he can still surprise with a techy set crafted specially for KONTROL. with [KONTROL] residents: ALLAND BYALLO ( Leibe*Detail . Nightlight Music ) NIKOLA BAYTALA ( Robsoul . In his first stage, he created the collective Domestic Techno with DJ Slick, carrying out parties in several clubs and basements of their city. Throughout time he has tested almost every single style of electronic dance music. After a large period of techno investigation and development, Tadeo runs his actual art collective Javha oriented to all kinds of art expressions, and Cyclical Tracks, a conceptual techno label. In this second stage, he purified his technique and studied with care the connection with audience, trying to make this connection the principal resource of his sets. Since then and little by little, minimal and electronic sounds have started to become a natural rule both in his sets and productions. He also has a predilection for dub and sounds which emanate from Jamaican music. In May 2004 he released his first 12" in his own label, Cyclical Tracks, and a remix for Alex Under on CMYK002. In November 2004 he released Dub Infection (APNEA002), featuring the techno-dub legend Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman. In June 2005 Tadeo released Lup! (CT-02): this time the music took a step away from dub while his Detroit Techno influences were more noticeable... dark and unstoppable dance, pure groove that impressed artists like Magda, Troy Pierce, Luciano, Damian Lazarus, Marco Carola, and countless others. His innovative and dancefloor-friendly tracks have appeared on mix compilations by techno heavy-hitters such as Luciano, Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Richie Hawtin and Tiefschwarz, to name a few. He joined Net 28 after meeting Alex Under, with whom he created the Musica Charlista project. Damián is also responsible for the youngest record label of the Net 28 family, Múpa. As a producer Damián inclines towards the avant-garde: developing multiple musical concepts, turning his music into something original and unique. Surprise, jazz, harmony and melody are the common factors in Damián´s solo productions, though never losing sight of the dance floor. The concept is the most important matter in his universe: images, ideas and sensations giving shape to the concept, and the music as the courier of that message, filling the space as the water fills everything on its route. Raw sequences, unique samples, strong patterns, frantic rhythms, innovation, inspiration... Techno as you've never really heard it. His first DJ gigs were at underground parties in small clubs and infamous outdoor "bridge" parties. Between 1999 and 2005 he worked with Jason as SubtleChaos DJing and promoting parties around NYC. Vadim and his new partner Igal are also known as "loft.n.space" which is a concept that was born when a vacant factory loft in Brooklyn has appeared as a perfect spot for a party. Since then, loft.n.space has hosted latenight and afterhours events with international DJs and live acts such as Dan Bell (Tresor), Zip & Sammy Dee (Perlon), Alka_Rex (Supralinear, Resopal), Vince Lemieux (Musique Risquée), and Pheek (Minus, Archipel). Currently Vadim is a resident at one of NYC's most respected weekly events - "LESS" @ Annex.
