http://www.neptunerecords.com/Announcements/?ancID=74 Well, I was going to recommend this store, but it looks like they are closed. Soooo sad. That was my favorite Detroit area store while I lived there. There's also http://www.stormyrecords.com/, which is in Dearborn, MI. This store is run by Windy and Carl (on Kranky) and they carry indie rock stuff too (as did Neptune), but also lots of electronica - more in the post-rock krankyish vein than the warp-type IDM. Actually, now that I think about it, in the places I've lived, I don't know if I've ever been in a record store that sold even predominantly electronica, and the brick-and-mortar store selection here in NC, USA is so bad, it's been months since I've been to one.
