DECIBEL UPDATE FOR SEPT 19TH, 2005
I. WEBSITE UPDATES:
The 2005 Decibel Festival is a mere 4 days away (Sept 22 - 25) and in
preparation for the festival we've added some important content to the
website that should help in prioritizing your festival activities.

Under the "Festival Info" menu you'll find many recent additions, including
a 2 page festival schedule which breaks up each showcase, clinic, panel, DJ
slot and performance by day, venue and time.

outlines the 6 panels Decibel will be hosting at the Broadway Performance
Hall Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4:45pm ($5 each day).

that outlines that 2 panels Decibel will be hosting at the Broadway
Performance Hall Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 1:30pm ($5 each day).

In addition to our 12 showcases, Decibel has assembled an impressive roster
of DJs that will be performing from 5pm until close Thursday through Sunday
during the festival.

Under the "Festival Info" menu you?ll now see a "Parking" sub menu info and
a map to the parking lot for Saturday and Sunday (day parking is free until
5pm and $3 after that). If you're attending any of the Broadway Performance
Hall events, the parking lot is located just across the street from the
venue.

Under the "Venue" sub menu you'll see we've updated the list to include the
Bad Juju Lounge (new location that will be hosting the NW showcases), the
Cascadia Film Collective (Db Afterhours) and the Baltic Room (Sunday night
venue for KEXPs "Expansions Live"). Neumos, Chop Suey and Barca will also be
used.

Under the "Audio Artist" menu you'll now see and audio clip bar beneath each
artists' photo on the (some are still coming). Click on the track name and
you'll hear a 30 second clip of that artist.
II. 2005 DB PROGRAM GUIDES:
With 75+ acts, 7 venues, 13 individual showcases, 6 clinics, 2 panels and
over 20 DJs performing at the Barca DJ Lounge, there's a lot of ground to
cover. This year Decibel will be offering high quality, 52 page program
guides. You can pick up the DB Programs at any of the 7 venues or at Seattle
based record shops (Easy Street, Platinum, Downlow, Sonic Boom, Wall of
Sound, and Zion?s Gate). The DB Program will contain artist bios (audio and
visual), showcase descriptions, time slots, a map, panel info, clinic info,
and sponsorship info.
III. TICKET UPDATE (IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!!!):

If you already have a Full Access Pass and plan on attending the
Experimental Showcase (Saturday the 24th, 6:30 PM) or Ambient Showcase
(Sunday the 25th, 6:30 PM), please arrive AT LEAST 30 MINUTE BEFORE THE
SHOWCASES BEGIN, as there is limited availability. A limited number of
individual tickets will be sold the day of the event at will call on a first
come first serve basis. Tickets will be $15 per showcase. For all other
evening showcases, clinics and panels, tickets will be available at the
door.

You can purchase or pick up pre-purchased festival passes at Decibel Will
Call. The booth will be located at Barca Thursday and Friday night and at
the Broadway Performance Hall on Saturday and Sunday.
