Andrea Parker, known for her electro mixes and sublime
productions on !K7, MoWax, and Beggers Banquet is
headed stateside to support her own imprint
Touchin? Bass!
Parker has contributed to several experimental
electronic releases through out her career including
remixes for Depeche Mode, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and
Tipper.
Miss Parkers DJ style is uncompromising and crosses
all boundaries. She?s supported Radiohead on the
US part of their Kid A tour, experimented live on
stage with avant-garde supremos : Bang On A Can
(Philip Glass and Steve Reich) and provided more than
a little entertainment at parties for director Roman
Polanski and fashion house; Gucci.
Her popularity as a DJ was confirmed by the high sales
of her mix for !K7?s DJ Kicks series which
showcased the variety of her musical tastes; she?s not
afraid to fuse hip hop pioneers like Man Parish with
electronic pusher?s Gescom.
