Hello, I just had an excellent live set in New Castle, far more positive feedback than I could have ever hoped for. :D I'll be in London now on the 28th to the 1st of February, I am looking for places to play a live set. I can be very ambient, or full on danceable [with genre crossing/blending] Please email me off list if you know of anywhere I could play in lovely London. :) With kind, Seb. -- s. http://www.ArcTone.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Well, I think I've mentioned it before, in another context, but The Spitz club is good for electronica - and all other kinds of oddness, too. http://www.spitz.co.uk/venue.htm HOWEVER... there shouldn't be any gaps in their gig list in that timeframe you mention, UNLESS the Morr Music night (featuring Isan, Christian Kleine and Bernhard Fleischmann) on the 30th has been cancelled, as I notice is has now disappeared from their listings on the website!!! I hope it isn't, as this would be the 3rd mega-gig for me to be cancelled in as many months! (The other two being the Seed Records birthday bash and Solvent's London dates.) So... does anyone have any information on the status of the Isan gig on the 30th? The band's website and Morr's website both still say it's on, but the Spitz, as mentioned, has gone all obfuscative! I've rung the venue and mailed them, but both to no avail. :-( Anyone? Back on the venues topic, the only other venue of about the same size I've been to in the last few months has been the Notting Hill Arts Club: http://www.nottinghillartsclub.com/ Cheers, Clive ----- Original Message ----- From: "pulse" <pulse@arctone.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org>; "IDM-making list" <idm-making@ampfea.org>; "SFBay Producer's List" <sub60@sffreaks.org> Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 4:14 PM Subject: [idm] Places to play in London?

Even if so, don't be too dishearted.. I just confirmed tonite that we'll be putting on an Isan show on thursday february 17th at the Horse Hospital. The full line-up will be Isan, Bovaflux and Fisk Industries. I dunno if you been to the horse hospital yet - its a pretty bizare intimate little venue, a genuine old equestrian hospital ... http://www.thehorsehospital.com/ Check out some Bovaflux at: http://highpointlowlife.com/webreleases/bovaflux_hpw005/bovaflux_hpw005.html and Fisk Industries: http://highpointlowlife.com/webreleases/fiskindustries_hpw002/fiskindustries_hpw002.html http://highpointlowlife.com/downloads/fiskindustries_cantbreathe.mp3 thorsten --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

wow man, that was a decade ago... but still sounds great. classic. i remember, i bought it exactly when it came out and was completely confused (what is this music %$?!) and blown away by it... i think it's the first drill'n'bass release out there. maybe his wagon christ remix came out few months before HABs. and yes, get yourself HAB2. only 2 trax but better that all of those from HAB1. i meant to get a digital version of it from bleep.com (encoded into mp3 directly from the masters) as i have both of those on vinyl. but it seems they don't have it anymore... it was only a week or 2 on there. IF ANYONE HAS IT PLEASE CONTACT ME. i'd really love to have that. peace! miro ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- QWERTY RELEASES OUT NOW! : 'The Sorrows Of Young Qwerther' on Piehead (pie035). Tom Jenkinson's Crot ep came out in 94 along with Stereotype. This is silly. The pop musician always gets credit for what he steals. Its kind of like what Andy Warhol did to Jean Michel Basquiat. Aphex Twin was big for his ambient dance stuff that hand some good lines but was overall just slowed down loopy dance music, than he suddenly changes direction. maybe... Alroy Road Trax and Conumber both came out in '95 as the HABs did... there's also Plug 123 eps. but i always thought that plug and those spymania-pusher eps are a lot alike the early 93-94 jungle records such as remarc, marvellous cain... more drum'n'bassy. ...and HABs take this to another level... it's more like IDM/braindance/whatever related. but that's my opinion. and i find all those releases i mentioned here in my top 10 favorite records of all time. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- QWERTY RELEASES OUT NOW! : 'The Sorrows Of Young Qwerther' on Piehead (pie035).
