----------- well, I think it's beyond electro being over...I think electronica is over. I mean, not absolutely. Electro will continue, as will a host of other electronica styles from the last decade and a half, most of which had their defining moments years ago. But the years of rapid stylistic evolution in electronica had passed and a sense of foot-tapping 'what's next?' had already set in for awhile when there seemed to be a collective cultural shrug and the totally amusing but not particularly visionary electro/new wave revival was trotted out for kicks. Well, you know, I'm still checking stuff out, and I'm not giving up.
