hello from the terpsilabs. much to say.
we want to let everyone know that we will be discontinuing Synapse at
Monroes in Hollywood after November 8th. it has been a great time and
thanks to everyone who came out to support. however, fancy clubs in
hollywood like fancy people and lots of money. unfortunately our mini
experimental scene here in la can only go so far at this point. we have
confidence that with all of the talent here and on the west coast things
will continue to grow. we must keep the faith. so on that note, if you
love video art, experimental music and brainy abstract things, please come
out to support your local promoters. if you love music, please come out to
support your local promoters. please? with sugar on top? the only way to
keep things going is if we all pull toghether and show our love. we at
terpsichore have totally felt supported by our community in all that we
have endeavored but there is always more that can be done, here's some
ideas:
. tell your friends about your favorite music.
. tell people about events and clubs.
. post on web sites.
. drive cross town if you have to.
. tear of your bra screaming and throw it on the geek behind the laptop.
. jump on the speakers and thrust around screaming " I love IDM"
. Geek out
. Rock out
. drink.be.merry and stick your fingers in light sockets often!
seriously, though... we call you to spread the word and keep our little
scene going. no more promoter politics. no more genra snobbery. we love
music and art all fo us. tell the world. tell yourself. love yourself and
for the sake of us all LOVE YOUR COMPUTER.
