I think that while there was some glowing reviews posted on the IDM list about this music when it first came out, I'm not sure heads were ready. If you listen to this, you can hear their influence all over the place in other music. And they're the best kind of sneaky inspiration to other musicians. Sadly there are a couple issues with the release, which appear on at least the CDs and digital. On CD 1, between Rupt and Vex, and then on CD 2, 55 seconds in on Monastic there is a second of noise (possibly on the source?) Apparently Warp, Bleep and Seefeel are all aware and Warp have seemed to indicate to some who have contacted them that they might replace discs and update digital files, although I fear that would only be for people who ordered from Bleep and the Warp BC page. I'm trying to decide what to do with mine, if I should return now and just buy again after the issues are (hopefully) addressed. I didn't buy through Warp/Bleep, afraid that they won't replace discs that were not purchased through them. Just checked - the FLAC files I got from Bandcamp when I bought it there[1] on the 23rd are okay; no noise at any of the listed positions...
