Let me first preface this comment by stating that it is in no way directed
towards any one individual on this list or his/her comments, but in my
experience it always seems as though those who are quick to point fingers
about someone else "selling out" fall into one of three categories:
1. jealous
2. trust-fund child
3. jealous
So...as a broke-ass cat looking to make a better world for myself and my
family, I can proudly say that I will hold my head high if and when I ever
hear one of my own tracks in a Kellogg's commercial. Fuck the cash, i'd do
it for a lifetime supply of Raisin Bran.
To those arguing, get off your high horses unless you are a vegan living on
a self-supporting Appalachian commune. How soon we forget that IDM is music
is technology is corporate America...so why are you on this list? Besides,
with the exception of a few thousand people at best, nobody else can even
identify the music we are speaking of without some research, so it remains
anonymous to a certain degree. So if McDonald's wants to cut you a check to
do 30 seconds of their next McJordan bburger add you mean to tell me you
wouldn't take the $10,000 and put it into a new studio? Give me a break...
