i think laptop-zombies should start utilizing back-up dancers! i mean, you dont really have to compromise your music (they're not part of the 'band')... and they have to be in matching jump suits and do those goofy DougEFresh-era hip-hop synchronized aerobics. [Donna Summer is fun to watch. cause he's enjoying himself so much on his laptop. you cant help but smile.] or howabout this... maybe NI should design laptop-guitars! like that whole keyboard-guitar thing... that would be wicked mon! np: Limp/Orion (this is boring me this morning. very derivative. nice, but derivative)

Totally right, things are falling short these days. I'm a fan of the "I" in IDM and I really like and listen to a lot of the somber and melancholic music that's out there these days but can someone give the tech shit a rest and make some fucking dance music already!!! Can I go to a show, get drunk and scream like a maniac again?, please!!! If you made dance music or music that rocks in some way then no one would give a shit what you looked like on stage, they'd be too busy getting ill. Stop sitting around in corners with your eyes closed or hanging over laptop screens and trying to figure out what software the guy's using. Who the fuck cares, send him an email after the show. As much as one would think that contemplation is flattery, I've never done a show with an artist or met and artist who looks out onto a floor of dudes standing around and think's "wow, this show is going really well" I'm gonna scream ROCK!!! (sustained) until my throat hurts! adesh http://www.recordcamp.com -----Original Message----- From: j d [mailto:oberheim_thief@yahoo.co.uk] Sent: Friday, April 19, 2002 8:18 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: RE: [idm] IDM concerts - backupdancers/laptopguitars - IDM's got no balls.
