You know... I've only just received my copy yesterday, and I've listened to
it once last night, and then twice today (and it's been growing on me.. oh
no!). But it sounds much more like a full Boards of Canada album than,
well, most of their other releases. I'm mainly basing this on comparison
to Maxima, which, perhaps unironically, this sounds quite similar to,
structure-wise.
Hm.
Then again, since Music Has the Right to Children was more or less a
compilation of a lot of older things, perhaps it makes sense? Should this
be heralded as the first true Boards of Canada album to receive a proper
release? :D
Anyone else hearing the Geogaddi/Maxima connection?
derek
