for those who may have missed in the news: ----- We have kick started our US operation by opening a small office in Brooklyn, New York. After dealing with the practicalities of setting up on the other side of the world, Kris Gillespie will now start to coordinate our releases for America. There are two scheduled for the US so far - both set for early this year. First up, two new tracks have been retrieved from the Polygon Window archive courtesy of Mr. R. D. James. The tracks will be added to the 1992 classic album "Surfing On Sine Waves". Also, we have also put together a compilation of Warp's finest, old and new. Here's the track listing: 1 Plaid - Booc 2 Prefuse73 - Nuno 3 Plaid - Fly Wings 4 Autechre - Konlied MX 5 Jamie Lidell - Entroscooper 6 Two Lone Swordsmen - Brootle 7 Squarepusher - Square Rave 8 Mira Calix - Sparrow 9 Blue Jam - Porn 11 Autechre - Cipater 10 Jamie Lidell - Daddy's Car 12 Polygon Window - [untitled, track 7] 13 Polygon Window - Quino - phec 14 Boards Of Canada - In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country 15 Nightmares On Wax - Les Nuits You will be able to pick up the comp from anywhere around the world courtesy of Warpmart. At present, we are checking out New York venues to find suitable spaces for Warp Raves. We hope it's obvious that a solid introduction is planned for our trans Atlantic friends who can now look forward to having releases simultaneous to ours here in the UK. --- Edwin Wong [ suction@home.com ]

Why attach those tracks to something most of us have already ? I think things like this are a perfect excuse for using napster. Look, do you want a US branch of Warp or not? I mean, it's better than a $30 Pacific Rim pressing with bonus tracks (a fairly common practice). Plus, it puts a bona fide classic Aphex album back in print in ths US. What's the big problem? -rob --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
