Being a member of mailing lists ranging anywhere from the Taurus SHO to Korg
Triton to IDM, I see this same kind of comment plenty of times in every
list.
What "galactic funk" fails to accept, grasp, realize or D)All of the Above
is....You WILL ALWAYS have redundant talk on any list. A few of the reasons
being:
NEW MEMBERS - A guy that just bought his first RDJ album *IS* going to
defend windowlicker. *I* like it too! Someone who just learned about the
list *IS* going to talk about things that have already been talked about.
MISSED POSTS - Perhaps I was on this list a long time ago, took off for
awhile, and came back. Do you expect me to somehow know each and every
topic that has been discussed in my absence? I should hope not.
So really, going by your own rules, your own complaining should annoy you,
since someone has probably already complained about this same thing already.
What I think you should do is
A) UNSUBSCRIBE, since you dont think there's anything worth talking about
anyway.
or
B) Do like most of us do. When you see a long thread that you don't care
about, go through that painful, time consuming task of selecting said
articles and pushing the "Delete" key. Here comes the hard part though,
depending on what software you read email with, you might have to CONFIRM
the deletion. Don't listen to the voices in your head, just click "OK" and
the "Girl/Guy Ratio" will be out of your head, so you can replace it with
something much more appealing....perhaps "Girl/Boy Song" by Richard James?
