To whoever asked about Nico and recordings from that
time that are also interesting, I would recommend in
addition to "The End", Nico's "The Marble Index" which
is also great. Also cool are Areski and Brigitte
Fontaine's recordings, specifically "L'Indendie" and
"je ne connais pas cet homme". Another great cd is
Bill Holt's "Dreamies" record.. and of course if you
are into Broadcast, you've probably heard of the
United States of America, which is a decent record, as
well, although nothing exceptional. All krautrock
from that period is great (Faust, Can, Harmonia, Neu!,
Kraftwerk).. I would recommend the first two Roxy
Music albums if you liked Eno's synthwork on "The
End." There's much more, but this is what comes to
mind at the moment..
On a different note, can anyone tell me their opinion
on the Detroit Escalator Co. "Black Buildings" ep??
Thanks!!
