Well, now that I'm thinking about it...
I remember they set the stage on fire with some kind
of fast burning liquid... There was lots of smoke and
fire and they ended up getting banned from the
Berkeley Square (which closed down soon after, so, you
know, whatever). It was uh, pretty, punk.
Babyland was very "punk" in attitude... they were down
with the whole Gilman St. scene (punx in Berkeley made
famous by Rancide, Green Day et al.) and had some
goth/industrial fans from the burbs...
There first record came out on Flipside, which is an
ol' LA punk label...
You know, it's funny how Kid 606 (and Lesser) both
broke out on Vinyl Communications, which kind of seems
like a punk label to me...
