I always knew that there was something inherently tweeky about Coldcut's
"Eine Kleine Hed Musick" off their Philosophy LP (also on Rebirth of Cool
Phive). Besides the obvious Coldcut ill-production dripping all over the
song mixed with bizarro vocal snippets -- today I finally figured out what
has always haunted me about that track! It's the Santo & Johnny
"Sleepwalker" string sample. I know I've heard it everywhere from Buik
commercials to cheesy TV special instrumentals-only-CD-offers but until
today when I downloaded it from Napster did I realize what Black/More were
cutting up throughout the track.
Sorry...I had to get that off my chest...
