Just some short reviews.
L'usine CD on Isophlux.
An instant classic. This thing has gotten lots of rotation around the
house. Everything about it is gorgeous. Music that seems like it was hard
to make. That is, the layering and the arrangement seems to be very
complex. Music made with machines and not just a computer. It is the
classic IDM sound modernized for the citizens of 1999. Definitely has an
identity and is not just some clone.
shinjiku filth - zero
If you heard raised by wolves you have an idea of what this sounds like.
Though this is tamer. Kinda like Professor Richman vs. Shinjiku thief vs
shinjiku filth (yes I know they are all the same person). But, for those
not ordained in the ways of shinjiku I offer this: paranoid atmospherics
with odd beats, original instrumentations, and weird stylings topped off
with a bit of classical influence. This would be post post industrial
music. Good stuff. Get it if your interested in music that doesn't follow
trends.
