Just found out a tidbit of info about the Dr Atmo Man Made Motion release saga. Yesterday when i was in bent crayon they recieved an official request from Mille Plateaux asking for the return of all the Dr Atmo Man Made Motion releases they had in stock. So it looks like Mille Plateaux is making moves to minimize the damage. In case you dont know the story, Sean Cooper brought to light that Dr Atmo's Man Made Motion album is almost a note for note copy of Tetsu Inoue's Slow & Low album on Fax. Undoubtedly the most generous use of sampling yet. : ) -->-Lance--- mclance@nacs.net lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

reminds me of this exhibition on pop art i've seen in philadelphia some time ago that had 2 paintings from this painter (god forbid i remember his name) that were called something like 'andy warhol's electric chair' & 'andy warhol's jackies' & which were, in fact, exact (albeit smaller) copies of the original warhol paintings. very pop. but i doubt dr. atmo's intent was to make a pop art statement (but then WHAT WAS HE THINKING?) -- david
