I just went to an Autechre live performance last friday. I´m a big fan of Autechre´s early works, but I don´t like the stuff they have been doing on their last 2 albums, not as ambient as I want it. But I must say that they were quite good, mutch better than their last two albums. I was thinking of bringing a DAT with me but I didn´t, wish I had. Anyone know if there are any other Autechre sets planned for the year? There was a female DJ there called Mira Calix, anyone know here? She was for me, the top of the evening, blending old an new IDM in a good mixture. Hope to hear her play some time again. Yep, Mira Calix is Chantal, Warp's resident DJ and also Sean Booth's girlfriend (at least I assume that's still the case). A full-length album from Mira Calix will be out this autumn. In the meantime, check out her two 10-inch releases on Warp -- 'Llanga' (produced by Gescom) and 'Pin Skeeling' (produced by Mark Clifford).
