Can't remember original poster, so this one's going to the list... It's been mentioned already, but ditto on the advice to pick up the G-Stoned EP. As far as other suggestions, the Waldeck EP mentioned in an earlier post is nice if you can get past the vocals. Similar advice on the Shantel releases on Essay Recordings. Best advice I can give is to pick up these (beware of spellings and titles, I'm at work and don't have'em around to confirm): - Dr. Richard "12,000 Ft." EP (Craft/Sabotage) - this one's lush, mostly pulsing trip-hop with nice atmospherics. A couple of the tracks are almost Tortoise/ post-rock sounding. All quite smooth. Richard as in Richard Dorfmeister. - Buscemi "Mocha Supreme?" LP (Downsall) - All over the genre map - trip hop, house, d'n b but all quite jazzy (for lack of a better adjective) and with that live, instrumental K&D feel to it. Some tracks are better than others but when they get it right it really works. First track is dope. - Kruder & Dorfmeister remix of Madonna's (of all people) "Nothing Else Matters" This one just came out on Warner on 12" along with some horrid house mixes, but the K&D mix is an eleven minute uptempo (for them) jam with Rhodes and other nice elements. - Tribes of Da Underground Vol. 4 comp. (Infracom) - heavy on the latin end of things, but still with that live organic feel. - Ian Simmonds "Last States of Nature" CD (Studio K7) - kind of like the twilight companion to the summertime dub of K&D, this one's heavily jazz influenced and apparently a big fave of K&D themselves. It's an above average album IMHO. Judging by a DAT I've got of a DJ set K&D did in Germany earlier this year, their upcoming LP should be excellent. The whole set was way less head-nod than I expected and heavy on the jazz-funk end. I only recognized a couple of the tracks, so I'm assuming most of them are dubs of their own new material. I'm sure there's other stuff as well, but since my crates aren't around I can't go digging. Hope this helps...Brock

No, Rhodes as in "classic electric piano - the Fender Rhodes". And what the hell's wrong with "DJ Teep" as an alias? Sheesh. BVL
