Don't think anyone has mentioned ... Ui -- they're lots of fun ... put out an ep with Stereolab with remixes of St Elmo's Fire, if my mind serves me correctly. I only have one of their releases. Full-length bright white digipak with a bright blue puddle on the cover. First track, "Drive until He Sleeps" is wonderful. Beautiful bass. Very Tortoise-y i think. and . . The Dylan Group -- on Bubblecore Records. Very much like Tortoise as well. Less emphasis on percussion, and more focus on vibes and marimba-esque sounds -- fun covers of Aphex Twin's "We are the Music Makers" and Getz/Gilberto's "Girl from Ipanema" (also a cover of John Cage's "4:33" -- go figure...). They also released a remix album with mixes from Bundy K Brown and We ... ::*:: happy holidays ::*:: sean. np: Coil: Time Machines

heard one of their tracks on shadow's "theatre of sound" comp. very very tortoise-y. first time i heard the track, i had to check the track list to make sure it *wasn't* tortoise. good, but maybe too tortoise-y. kinda like clifford gilberto (although i'm still not convinced that it's not sqpr). i'd like to hear more than one track. alan! merrrrrrrrry christmas! (they have that in other countries, right? and yes, i know i'm ignoring lots of other holidays. sorry.)

Track down their "Unlike" remixed cd, speshly for "Grand Piano". It comes in a red flimsy looking digipak thingy which looks like someone scrawled semi-legibly on it with a gold paint-marker. Worth the hunt. Sasha is a mean bassist. jeff Sean McGonagle wrote:
