actually, i think conceptually is is quite neat. i have not actually heard the release, as i do not have a MD player -- BUT it is because of this release (the method of making/recording the music, not the fact that i must have the releases) and talking to others who have done similar things with the MD that i am considering buying one. i think as far as using a recording/ed source to aid in the production/listening of music, its quite innovative. or at least something new and different. or at least to me. chris.

I love minidisc. Put all my vinyl to it. However, saying that I thought you might like to know this: the sony outlet here is selling portable dats (refurbs) for 299 and new ones for 499. I picked up a refurb and it works great (though it won't replace my minidisc - other uses for the dat). So you may want to look for an outlet. -daniel
