This looks especially dope...can anyone vouch for this one yet, hadn't heard a peep on the list about it.

And I've also been seeing a lot of good references to electro coming out on Djax, Djax Up, or whatever the label calls itself. Only 12"er I ever owned by them was way on the acidic techno side, got traded quickly. But if they're doing good electro I might be persuaded to give'em a second chance. Thoughts, anyone? ____________________________________ Brock Phillips - bphil@email.unc.edu WXYC 89.3 FM The New Science Experience Tune in every Sunday night 10-12 AM EST http://www.wxyc.org for live RA broadcast Promos, demos, etc. welcome for submission Email for postal address and details... I've only had a chance to give this a quick listen, but I'd recommend it. Some darker, more abstract electro tracks than I've heard lately. Phoenecia delivers again. The vinyl is a little thin though, and therefore it's not pressed too well. On a related note, Dark Side of the Sword 3 is out on Plasmek, with fine contributions from Keith Tucker and Passarani. This one's pressed a little better too.

The new one is Electrosmog, which grows on me with each listen. 3 pretty smooth electro tracks, comparable to say Electrecord, maybe a little harder. The previous release by Merone on DJAX, superb electro. They've also released a couple of Urban Electro 12"s and at least one by the Operator. My general rule for DJAX is if it's advertised as electro, it's probbly worth picking up. Otherwise, you roll the dice, you take your chances. -Christina

There is not a real Andre Estermann 12" on Djax. Andre helped out on the first Analogical ep called Lodge back in 1994. Analogical is the hard acidic techno guise of Tim Grotendorst who also records acid trax as Analog Attack and CPU among other guises. Analogical went on to release another ep without Andre which was also hard acidic techno. Neither Analogical releases sound remotely close to the current sound of Andre Estermann. In fact, the Analogical releases have more in common with the early Acid Junkies releases than with the Andre's current sound. But if you still want to get it, here is the full info on the release: .
