To anyone interested: A friend of mine who works at a local record shop gave me some interesting news today. He received a fax from Nothing (and/or their distributor, Caroline--sorry can't remember which) which stated that next Tuesday (10/6) they will be releasing the follow titles: Plaid: Not For Threes Autechre: lp5 Squarepusher: Big Loada (with xtra tracks--from Port Rhombus and Vic Acid, according to Warp-Net) Squarepusher: Music Is Rotted One Note One of the above--can't remember which--will be released earlier. Anyway, sorry for the sketchy info, but it is VERY definate that they will be released. My friend also informed me that this was all decide quite suddenly. Well, thought you guys would like to know. I've gotten confirmation that the first three listed above are indeed being released by Nothing next Tuesday, the 6th, and are being distributed to Caroline. "Music..." will be following on Oct 13th, the day after the UK release. Also dist. via Caroline. No involvement from Interscope/Universal at all, it seems. This, of course, leads to the usual IDM conspiracy theory speculation that all of the delays on these releases have had to do with Interscope, not Nothing, and perhaps this new Nothing/Caroline deal will see a lot more cool shit finally coming out. Anyone know if there are to be vinyl releases of these at all? I know that Nothing has released limited vinyl and promo vinyl before but not sure if they have done so in conjunction with a regular release (or if that would even apply in this case) Any and all help appreciated... np: amethyst deceiver switches (my favorite yet? different either way!) brap@sonic.net[icq: 12645306] http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ sfwd prod | noisesoundnoise chris g. 1547 boston court #7, santa rosa, ca 95405

new coil im assuming. one of the odder cds ive heard in sometime.. love it to death, except that the lyrics kinda get a little off for me at points.. and im not one for vocals, but aside from the bit on the opening track (of the cd), the vocals *sound* really good.. im quite into this. makes me really really really wnat to hear a new full length to see what the coil folk come up with. chris.

Just a question on that releases to follow this up, does anyone know where to get or what happened to the 55 signed & #d copies of the Coil 7" listed on the site? And when the hell is Nothing releasing anything by Coil?! numb

I know that Coil made a few available to website maintainer, coil list posting maniac, and all around nice guy Jon W. to make available through contest, but I assume that the majority of these were given out by Coil themselves...

With the Nothing releases coming out (warp one's) hopefully they will at least start reissueing those now also! brap@sonic.net[icq: 12645306] coming sooner than later: sfwd0004 - pre-mil·len·ni·um soundscapes 12" chris g. 1547 boston court #7, santa rosa, ca 95405
