Don't know how accurate the article is, but according to "Obsessive Eye" issue 3, Andy was wanting to put an end to the Mask series. Also, regarding "anally" limited music... I don't see what's wrong with it? Usually this is done for monetary reasons (just talk to Martin Pike of Duophonic), but even if it isn't, it keeps the music underground and in the hands of people who care enough to find it. Besides, whoever said that all music should be free for all to hear? Just my 2 cents... -Mike NP: Spacemen 3 - "Recurring"

steve, i can see where you are coming from here. lately i have bought a lot of idm.. and secretly, i am hoping to meet that special girl who enjoys that music as well. it would be a bonus if she had all the markant stuff i cannot afford, and the skam records i cannot find. but id be really bummed if she was into squarepusher. i just dont get him, and really, iwouldnt want to date a girl like that. i also have been listening to a lot of older music lately -- stuff from my past.. tones on tail, current 93, bauhaus (tonight.. yeah!), and yes... even depeche mode. i really dont have anything live from them though, except maybe my casette copy of 101 (i can burn a cd of it if anyone is interested) -- what bootlegs do you have? i cannot seem to find any at blockbuster music. i was thinking.. maybe you and i could start a label.. we could press at least 2,000 copies of everything.. i have some cash saved up. after all, its only money at risk. fuck. its easy, and maybe in the process i could meet that girl i have always dreamed of meeting.. peas, chris. np: dm as remixed by markant, to be released on skam -001

yeah, but my wife keeps causing problems, and she hates idm. likes squarepusher tho', its a jazz thing i think.

too right. laws should be passed, so they have to release what we want. and the tv companies should have to show the "singing detective" again, the vid's are too expensive. and i really wanted to catch "the big lebowski" at the cinema, y'can't beat the cohen bros on the big screen, but they just won't show it any more. we should get to vote on it ... -martin btw, do people really bootleg d.m. wouldn't you get the same effect by buying one of their records turning it up really loud and putting your head under a blanket?

ok, my post wasn't intended as a "flame" as such, so don't take offense, it's the internet for christ sakes and we shouldn't take things personally...but saying that keeping press runs down is cool because then only truly "cool" and "underground" people can hear it is fucking lame ass, i mean, gimme a break...i want mask 4, but i can't have it, same with the recent gescom releases and many other "cool" records, maybe i just can't hack it as a idm nerd. and maybe i WILL start a label with that dude from kuci or whatever the fuck his call letters are and post updates every day as to how the label is doing and when they can tune in, er, i mean buy the records (oh no, another flame, hope it doesn't start a war) it's music, not a popularity or "coolness" contest steve In a message dated 98-09-25 14:44:17 EDT, you write: << Steve: Thanks for the flame, it's good to know that open discussions are possible. -Mike >>

I was just thinking how cool it would be to start a record label that presses limited numbers of really crap records, JUST to see how many idiots would buy them. Then I realized Richard D James is already doing this. Oh well. Che ;)
