in light of the recent discussion re: glo-com in all their wondrous guises, i thought i'd mention that there's a new wicked remix by the boys of a band called "azymuth" i don't know anything about the band or the label it's out on (mine's a white), but someone mentioned to me that azymuth is phil asher. whatever. it's a house mix, very much like "the way/the deep" but more atmospheric, with little progression but a lot of filterey keyboards and one of those classic gc basslines. enjoy! rob

The remix you are speaking of is: . Azymuth: Jazz Carnival (Global Communications Space Jazz Mix) That remix was originally released a year or two ago and has recently been reissue on the london based Far Out label with new mixes by other artists. I agree with Phil's description of it too, a jazzy house gem. Kinda like the Warp 69 remix meets the more recent GC smooth house releases. heh, no. azymuth is/was a 70's brazilian jazz fusion group. if you haven't heard the original version of jazz carnival, i recommend you do.. <waves> Subconscious Geography http://www.sub-con-geo.demon.co.uk +/sale +/cdr

speaking of which, has anyone heard Tom Middleton's Amba side project??? or have I totally missed out on something... just resubbed, so I've got lots to catch up on :) q ---------------------------------------------- http://www.hqcommunications.com/syntext.html ---------------------------------------------- "DOS Computers manufactured by companies such as IBM, Compaq, Tandy, and millions of others are by far the most popular with about 70 million machines in use worldwide.
