Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who sent me email a while back re: idm for newbies. I got the CD's probably a week ago in the mail (silly me sends the cd's to work and DOH!, they end up in the Returns dept where they sat for days ...yikes) Anyway, what I did was put together everyone's responses and picked the most recommended. This is what I ended up getting: Porter Ricks "Porter Ricks" Artificial Intelligence "Compilation" Autechre "Amber" Autechre "Tri Repetae++" Future Sound Of London "Lifeforms" Plastikman "Sheet One" I really enjoyed these cd's, I think Tri Repetae++ is my favorite, Lifeforms a close second. Porter Ricks was also a very interesting cd. I'd blab more on the disks but I haven't listened to them enough and I'm not as good as describing them as some of the others here. So, thanks again. Now I still have to get the rest on the list :) oh btw: probably a silly question....how the heck does one pronounce "AUTECHRE" it's a real pain in the ass to recommend cd's you can't pronounce. # Keith R.                            <http://www.iamlost.com/keith> # keith@iamlost.com                      PGP available upon request # ICQ: 4485538
