Clint, you are forgetting Retriggering the sample, Vibrato, Arpeggio (albeit a very limited version of) and glide/portamento. and there were others, like Tremolo. On 18 March 2015 at 04:03, Clint Anderson <clinta@gmail.com> wrote:

.MOD format, the original 4 channel module format from Amiga, had two channels of Hard Left Panning and two channels of Hard Right Panning. Most of the musicians would ask the listener to listen in mono. Unless if there was panning involved in the song, but then it'd sound slightly different. Some would use volume fadeouts and volume fadeins to accomplish stereo imagery with the original 4 channel mods. On 18 March 2015 at 02:24, Charles Byers-Brown <c.byersbrown@gmail.com> wrote:

Yeah I didn't mean that Renoise was limited, it's awesome and can do anything another DAW can do, more or less. Cheers for the suggestions, will get into these :) Sounds exceptionally dumb but I've been receiving the list for ages (year and a half, more?) and only just realised how to reply. So hi! eh you know the whole time i was into .mod music it was always a big deal 'listen to it with xxx player or only in the tracker' and whats funny about it is that yes, some players will miss or misinterpret certain commands or not play them exactly right, but its VERY rarely that you encounter a mod where you actually notice the difference between two players in general if it plays a mod, its probably based on mikmod which is fairly accurate anyways i know winamp uses the mikmod engine Clint Anderson Systems Engineer On Wed, Mar 18, 2015 at 5:02 PM, David Bohan <madvlad00@gmail.com> wrote:

rymix - cry for bass http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=39913 if you haven't yet, you need to find out how in your player (i have no idea how you do this in VLC) to view the sampletext, its where you put the names of your samples while composing, and whenever someone was finished they would always go change it to a message greeting all their friends and proclaiming how whatever group they are in is the best and is here to stay, etc some of them featured clever shit like in this cry4bass.mod where he uses a tiny sample thats just a few bytes and is literally just like a sine wave, then has it looped and plays it like a single oscillator synth. amusing! besides muffler there's also brothomstates who started as dune/orange, and is now airliner srs dune - the origo gardeners (one of my all time favorites ever) http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=152158 dune (brothomstates) - arsa http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=67510 dune - asia mist garden http://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=67511 shad - square demo (another personal favorite) http://plopbox.net/musicdb/shad/squademo.xm.zip Clint Anderson Systems Engineer On Wed, Mar 18, 2015 at 7:12 PM, Clint Anderson <clinta@gmail.com> wrote:
