Can anyone tell me roughly when this was originally released in the UK? regards -- Martin Duncanson

And what a great tune too, didn't LFO release LFO around the same time? I remember the videos to both of them, Tricky Disco with the Smash (a brand of instant mashed potato) puppets and LFO with close ups of printed circuit boards and the like. To me, it epitomises the happy bleepy sound that everyone thinks of when I tell them I listen to techno. That's no criticism of the tune though, I love the happy, bouncy feel it has. Can anyone else think of any other old tunes in a similar vein? Actually, has anyone got a copy of Tricky Disco on CD they'd be willing to part with? I've got the 7" vinyl (I didn't even have a CD player when it came out.) However, if you want Tricky Disco on CD, you'd be able to find it on one of those old Warp compilations - 'Pioneers Of The Hypnotic Groove' I think. Damon. P.S. I think it did come out on a cd single. no. LFO "LFO", NOW's "Aftermath" and Tricky Disco were all available on CD. I have the NOW (got very lucky with that one a coupla years back) and I remember seeing the LFO at the time. Point of interest on "Clonk's coming" (CCEP) is that it existed as both WAP13 and WARP LP1. I thinks the CD (CCCD) was only ever WARP CD1 however.

I have the CD-single (Warp WAP 7CD) but I picked it up used in '92 or so, so it might have been issued later than the original. warp ography says so, but it may be a reissue, ie the first pressing was probably vinyl only... jif

I've seen the NOW a few weeks back in a second hand shop for something like 10 FF ... But I didn't really like it after a listen so I didn't buy it :( sounds so old !!! Ben
