I rarely (if ever) post to this list, because I really dont care weather anyone is aware of my opinions or not, but I figured that since I bothered to write this while this when voting in the poll, I figgured someone might be interested, although I dont know why. just so you know, this poll has no importance to me whatsoever, I just thought it would be nice for people reading the results in future years for the poll to at least have some pretense of meaning. If you intend to harrass me about this tripe, dont bother, because I have no interest in hearing how stupid my thoughts are on the matter. ... just to let you know, I truely think this poll sucks. There is absolutely no reason for such constraints and boxes in a poll on a very free form of music. The only proper representation of what this list considers best this year would be to eliminate the categorization, and the nomination and the 'pick one' this is all burocracy, and bullshit. as far as I can tell, a simpler, more flexible, and more true to peoples actual preferences would be to have only the most general categories (ie album, single, artist, label... maybe some more... ), and then give everyone an equal weight (such as 1) for all their preferences in that category. so you could vote for just one, or divide your vote any way you please, weighting each vote however you like so that they add up to 1. Also, the end result should be the top 10 or so in each category, not just '#1', to give an indication of the true bredth of peoples preferences. To have such awkward boxes for such free music is absurd. Im sure I will wonder why I bothered posting when tommorow arives, but such is life: regret. mas / skam / v/vm / a-music etc. ALL deserve to be label of the year, what is the meaning of 'best'? -noah

why not take the damn poll back to where it was a few years ago and avoid the fuss. listing 20 or so of the top albums is much more informative (and indicative of the list) than the 6 or 7. and it eliminates a step as well. tim
