jeez, some already started this, ahhh I'll throw mine in. First off I didn't buy all the releases I wanted so, I can't give a fair decision to all the killer releases that slipped thru me, but... 1. Muziq- Lunatic Harness 2. Andre Esterman ep on MAS 3. Trans Am- Surrender to the night 4. T-power +Waveform+ 5. Darren Price-Under the Flight Path/hAB- Mapod (TIE) 7. Atom Heart- Senor Coconut 8. Bisk- Strange or funny ha ha 9. Metal Beast- ep 1 10.Scanner- Delivery label of the year: Musik aus Strom best find of the year: clean copy of Moruroa ep at Freecloud's (their records are always scratched and filthy) asshole of the year: Alec Empire for his April performance in LA. favorite DJ set this year: Brock and Max Alert @ Sleepy Hollow performance of the year: APHEX at Organic. tv show of the year: SOUTH PARK, smoke a bowl during, you'll thank me stupidest thing I did all year: become a raver (maybe not, still haven't decided if raving is good/bad thing) enough, let's hear from you.... gil ps: notice I didn't list ONE FAX release? It hasn't been a good year for 'em (IMO). freshie wrote:

finally someone mentions this. one of the best releases, well, ever IMHO, not to mention Ni Go Snix, which is equally as good. the remixes on N.G.S. are great (u-ziq/like a tim) which leads me to ask, what other Like a Tim stuff is as good as this? Somone posted that they were happy this person/group finally was signed to rephlex...i listened to a Like a Tim remix ep in the used bin at a local store awhile back, i think it was on rephlex, i found it kinda boring and so/so. Does LAT have any original(non rmx) work? other rmxs that are as good as NGS? thanks andy

The Autechre releases have been noticibaly absent also. Hmmmmm...... Chiastic slide wasn't one of my favourites for the year, however I thought they would do much better. We'll see when the final poll comes out. freshie Paranoia: The choice of a Tech Generation http://silly.com/~tang

as a work, chiastic slide had some tracks that seemed really lame. Envane was much tighter, as was Chicli Suite.

Arg... now *that* is a tough one... amongst the great demos I've heard this year... chris graves plod - backgammon pacman's demos (this year?) aware (don't believe this is a listmember) solenoid and of course, *THE* demo of the year, hands down... THE BLACK DOG and these are just the one's i listened to this weekend... i've got a pile of them... our idm review archiver brian b even has at least a few very cool tunes sitting about, probably much more than i know about... speaking of the black dog demo... if i was supposed to dub this for you and you don't have this yet and haven't heard from me, *please* send me a mail (except James and Ian (sorry, just read your mail from something like last week)) I know there's a few that have them coming, but if theres more who haven't received get in touch cause I'm on a taping marathon!
