Yeah, that was kind of stupid of me not to list the URL, but thanks to the intrepid IDM-er that figured it out. I agree that $40 is a lot to pay, but it helps if you get several friends/office-mates together to cut down on costs. The web-site also lists a 30-day free trial ($5.95 if you want a printed catalog sent to you with listings for 150,000 U.S. CDs) where you can buy as many discs as you want. The prices do differ quite a bit according to the label, etc.; if you want a major-label album, it'll probably be $11-$12, but if you want something on an American independent label (all you indie-rawk!!ers out there), the price is usually $9-$10. If you're a jazz fan, that stuff is cheap as well (especially if you buy box sets; I've got my eye on the Dexter Gordon =Complete '60s Blue Note= box). Anyway, check it out, and see if it might be helpful ('cuz I know my buying habits make something like this very necessary)... -------- Three Dollar Bill, Y'All ------------------------- John Bush That Address, Once Again: http://www.everycd.com

Hmmm...no URL given but... I checked Aphex Twin. The RDJ CD is 11.97 USD at http://www.everycd.com and it was 13.95 USD at http://www.compactdiscovery.com That would save about 2 bucks (US) per CD (newer stuff) and you could recoup your membership fee after 20 purchases. After that you could reap pretty good savings I guess. Older releases can be had for much less at EveryCD apparently. Bottomline: Avoid Tower Records like the plague! >Bottomline: Avoid Tower Records like the plague! Bad advice! =) I am buying R&S imports Cd albums through Tower for $14.99. No-one but Tower has them for those prices. Plus some Tower stores have cut-outs of thing like the Import copy of the Polygon Window album on Warp for 99 cents and other similar bargains. You just need to be a smart shopper. T.

It's 9.99 USD at every store that stocks used CD's (at least, at every one of the twelve or so such stores I've been in for the past two weeks or so). 11.97 is far from wholesale. Wholesale is more like $8-10 for stores and around $7 or so for distributors. You can get find domestic(to the US that is), Cds around here for $11.99 or $12.99 if you know where to shop and when sales are happening. Avoid CD clubs like the plague.....they are the spawn of Satan.
