Yes Kid606 is working on his first full-length for Ipecac now. When completed, the first pressing it will be 10,000 copies. So you may soon see Kid606 in your neighborhood chain music shops like Camelot, Sam Goodies, etc. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

does anyone have a copy of this? I got it from Jeff (ninja) when he and linus at Cargo were trying to make this one go gold... (any luck with that?), but have since lost it... if someone could point me to either a copy of this or an mp3 of the album, that'd be grand... you better watchout or the insects will get you! ------------------------- quentin rogers http://www.teamlounge.com syntext@teamlounge.com Number of millennia before humans first farmed that farmer ants were farming the spongy fungus on which they feed : 50,000? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

AND if you're interested in Patton... (not that he's doing anything IDM). He now heads FANTOMAS w/ Buzz from the Melvins and Dave Lombardo from Slayer. The music is completely schizophrenic... small bursts of speed metal... small bits of ambience... insane (in a good way). Kid606 opened for Fantomas in Chicago (and throughout much of their tour)... -it was funny to see the reactions of lots Slayer fans as Kid606 assaulted them from a laptop with noise and beats. Many of them hated it, but a few were actually fist pumping to the chaos. -Dan Smith -Salvo Beta - Is.U.Is --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Kid606 lives here in San Diego where I'm located - I went to see him at a bowling alley a month or so ago... it was the first time i had seen him or heard his music. It was very interesting :) - the set I heard seemed to border heavily on Noise and not music - but I did enjoy it. I recorded it to MD. What was funny, was at somepoint this guy comes up to the promoter (who is sitting next to me) and asks what kid is doing... then he asks if there is going to be a beat "you, know, something I can dance to." The guy was a bit drunk and started moving around like he was dancing... and I said, "what, you can't dance to this?" btw - he's a nice guy - we talked for a few min. after his set and I gave him a CDr of some of my tracks. Since he's local, I'm working on doing a gig with him where he is remixing my music live. If you've seen his setup, he has a laptop running Reaktor or Pluggo and processes the hell out of audio signals coming into the laptop. He also uses a Korg Kaos Pad as a small midi controller to work the effects, filters, etc. on the mac laptop. if there is interest in his set, I can rip the MD to mp3 files - but it probably won't be for a week or so... too many things going on right now. email if you are interested... and - i have loads of free tracks - and... I believe you'll enjoy them :) - see below.
