sorry to post an anal little correction (but what could be more thislisty?)
i believe the record was called "Drill Your Own Hole" and was so named cos
the orginal pressing on vinyl lacked a pre-drilled spindle hole... so that
the buyer could (im)properly drill their own hole at their leisure. i recall
the big buzz over bands like them, and pwei, the tag was "grebo-rock"(!?!)
anybody else remember that short-lived hoopla? suffice it to say the gaye
bykers (aka lesbian dopeheads on mopeds) completely failed to reach the
mainstream, as will most of our beloved idm artists with any integrity.
the one similarity between the gaye bykers and the chems that i've noted is
the very apt titles they've chosen for their releases ;) /// solemn
